Terms of Service
Effective October 23, 2026
These terms cover the aux.thief, aux.thief II and aux.thief III Discord bots. By adding or using any of them, you agree to these terms.
Using aux.thief
- aux.thief is free for anyone to add to a Discord server.
- You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using it, including Discord's minimum age.
- Server admins decide whether the bots are in their server and who can use them there, and are responsible for how they're used in that server.
- Don't use the bots to harass people, spam, break the law, or try to break, overload or misuse the bots or the services they rely on.
Your requests and playlists
- You're responsible for what you request, upload with
/playfile, or save to a playlist.
- Only upload files you have the right to share.
- Playlist names show up for everyone in the server. Names with slurs, hate speech, harassment, links or invites aren't allowed and may be removed.
- Server managers can delete any playlist in their server. The developer may remove content that breaks these terms.
Free, as-is, and subject to change
- aux.thief is a free hobby project with no guaranteed uptime. It may go down, lose features, or shut down at any time.
- Features, limits and these terms can change without notice.
- The developer may block any server or user from the bots, for example for abuse or breaking these terms. When a server is blocked, all three bots leave it.
Other services
- The bots run on Discord, so Discord's own terms apply too.
- Linking a Last.fm account is optional. If you do, Last.fm's terms apply to your account, and you can unlink it anytime with
/lastfm logout.
- Tips through Ko-fi are optional, don't unlock anything, and follow Ko-fi's terms.
- aux.thief isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, Last.fm or any music service.
Liability and changes
- The bots are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for any loss or damage from using them or not being able to use them.
- If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Keeping the bots in your server after a change means you accept the new terms.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New York State, USA.
